Last night I was given an opportunity to sit in on a Town Hall Meeting about the concerns of Bullying in our communities. The panel that consisted of Doctors, Teachers, Police, and Social Media brought some valuable information to the table. The talk was based on solutions, awareness and working together as a community to help support this tragic epidemic we call “Bullying”.
Bullying comes in all forms starting in schools with kids teasing each other, in the work forces with water cooler talk , in the senior’s communities and more on cyber space. I have seen it all…. What are the solutions? First and foremost if you witness something that you see that is bullying “TAKE A STAND” don’t sit back and be a bystander, approach with caution, report it, and talk about it. Every circumstance is unique and needs to be addressed with Bravery.
I take this quote from my “Life’s Little Instruction Book” Be Brave. Even if you’re not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference. Stand up and Speak out …..make a difference!
